Annette Dasch sang the dazzling Berlin of the twenties. No time of the last century was as bright and colorful as the "Golden Twenties". Especially in the pulsating metropolis of Berlin flourished the culture and nightlife. From America the jazz wave spilled over, leaving glamorous dance palaces, revue theaters and clubs like mushrooms. Soon the Berlin operetta experienced an incessant boom, with jazzy influences, dance rhythms, and lyrics full of irony and word wit. Reason enough to revive this turbulent time: The original Berliner Annette Dasch has put together a very special operetta evening together with her fellow musicians. On their side are the actors Nicola Fritzen and the symphony orchestra of the Vienna Volksoper, which, like no other sound body, can transport the dazzling colors and moods of this era.
